Two People Killed in Tragic Motorcycle Accident in Seminole County

Motorcycle accident in Seminole County, Florida.According to, two people were killed during a motorcycle accident on Tuesday morning in Seminole County, Florida. The accident happened near State Road 415 and East State Road in Sanford. 

Florida Highway Patrol has indicated that Thomas Snead, a 46-year-old Daytona Beach resident, was driving a truck that was carrying a large bundle of electrical wire, which came loose and hit the motorcycle as it was travelling north on State Road 415.

According to troopers, the accident happened at approximately 11:30 a.m. in a construction zone. Sadly, the killed passengers were a husband and wife who were traveling in a group for their weekly ride with friends. A friend of the pair indicated that they are Quebec residents who travel to Florida during the winter months.

Tragically, the killed drivers were thrown from the motorcycle after the accident. The driver of the truck was located afterwards and he was brought back to the scene at 1:45 p.m. The investigation is open and charges are pending. SR 415 was shut down for most of the day as the scene was investigated.
