Two people were seriously injured in Lake County after investigators said a truck driver lost control and crossed into oncoming traffic on U.S. Highway 27 in Clermont.

Four people, including an Orange County Sheriff’s deputy, were rushed to the hospital after a serious crash, according to the Orlando Police Department.Police say there were eight passengers in a four-door sedan and one deputy in a patrol car when they crashed on Rio Grande Avenue.

Carl Pistorius 29, the brother of South African athlete Oscar Pistorius, has been badly hurt in a car wreck on a highway in South Africa.“Carl's vehicle was hit head-on by another car that had swerved from the opposite side of the highway into the oncoming traffic" his family said in a statement.
